Cleaners don't clean on the same days bins need to be taken in/out.

Bins left out after pickup.

FAQ

Bin-to-kerb management questions, answered.

Common questions from short-term rental operators and property managers about how our Australian bin service works, what it costs, and what's covered.

What is bin-to-kerb management?
Bin-to-kerb management is a scheduled service where a local runner wheels your property's council bins out for collection and returns them to their storage spot afterwards. For short-term rental operators it removes the need to brief guests, cleaners or handymen about bin day at every property you manage.
How much does a bin service cost for an Airbnb property in Australia?
PropRunner charges $85 per month per property for a weekly service (two visits each week). There are no setup fees and no lock-in contract. Properties with long driveways, difficult access, or locations outside our current runner coverage may be quoted higher, and we always confirm the price before you start.
Do you empty the bins or remove rubbish?
No. We manage the put-out and return so your council can empty the bins on their normal collection schedule. We are not a waste removal company, so we don't take away extra bags, hard rubbish, or overflow loads. If a property regularly overflows, we'll tell you so you can arrange an extra bin with the council.
How do you know each council's collection schedule?
You give us the pickup days for each address during onboarding, and we monitor each council's published collection calendar for changes. Because collection days, zones, and recycling or green-waste cycles vary by suburb, we track them per property rather than running one blanket schedule.
What happens on public holidays?
Australian councils commonly delay or bring forward collections around public holidays. We follow those published changes and shift our runs so your bins still go out on the correct night and come back in after the truck has been.
How do I know the bins were actually put out?
Every visit is documented with timestamped photo proof, so you can confirm the job was done from anywhere without driving past the property. If a runner finds a problem — a bin missing, blocked access, or rubbish left beside the bin — you're notified by email or SMS the same day.
Which suburbs and cities do you cover?
We service properties across Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, and regional towns. Where we already have a local runner, we can usually onboard you straight away. If there's no runner in your suburb yet, your properties go on our waitlist while we recruit locally and we contact you as soon as coverage opens.Check coverage
Can you manage multiple properties or a whole portfolio?
Yes. PropRunner is built for property managers and short-term rental operators running anywhere from one property to a hundred. Each address is scheduled against its own council day, and you get a single monthly invoice and one point of contact for the whole portfolio.
Do I need to be home or provide access?
Usually not. Most bins are stored in an accessible side yard, carport, or bin bay. If a property has a locked gate, keypad, or bin enclosure, tell us the access details during onboarding and the runner assigned to that property will use them.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Billing is monthly and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. There are no setup fees, no exit fees, and no lock-in contract, so you can scale the service up or down as properties enter or leave your portfolio.
How do I get started?
Send us your details through the contact form with your property addresses, suburbs, and council pickup days. We confirm coverage, pricing, and your start date within one business day, and onboarding usually takes about 10 minutes.
